  1. We’ve just had a fantastic five days at Botany campsite. The most stress free camping we’ve ever done. When we arrived we all said “wow” at the array of psychedelic coloured bell tents on display. We stayed in the ‘coral/pink’ bell tent which gave the most homely and warm glow despite the dark clouds and the rain! It was so spacious for two adults and three kids we still had loads of space even with all the blow-up beds, our camping junk and all the kids stuff, we all loved the fairy lights that lit up the inside of the tent each night as it got dark, what a lovely touch. We were supplied with enough fire wood to see us through a few evenings AND marshmallows too. The whole experience was great, it was the little things that made it, the wooden bench and table, hot showers, hot water to wash the dishes, compost toilets, coolboxes in the tents, no cars parked at the tents but trolleys to cart your stuff backwards and forwards, small campsite with beautiful surroundings, the owners are lovely and really attentive and another huge bonus was the great discount on the Longleat tickets. I would highly recommend this campsite for the experience and so close to Longleat.

  2. Thanks for a fab 2 nights’ stay. We had the green bell tent. Spacious, comfortable, completely dry during a storm plus we made good use of the firewood and marshmallows-great idea! Also there is a shop if you run put of munchies. And hot water for a shower was lovely! Also great advice on local pubs and a nice walk. Thanks Crispin!

  3. Telling everyone what a wonderful week we had at Botany Campsite – warm welcome and great hospitable owners. My son said it was the best camping trip he’s been on, and he’s been on quite a few!
Big plus for us was the discounted tickets to Longleat Safari Park. Had a great day visiting Frome, two days at Longleat and some walks in the nearby forests. Definitely worth a return visit.
